Institutional Membership
Educational infrastructure and reference resources for hospitals, medical libraries, clinics, and universities.
Who it's for
Hospitals & health systems
Provide multidisciplinary staff with a single, citation-verified educational reference for the history, regulatory background, and published literature surrounding medicinal leech therapy.
Medical & academic libraries
Offer patrons and faculty structured access to ASH educational materials, glossary, and citation-verification tools as a curated reference collection.
Clinics & outpatient practices
Give clinical and administrative staff shared access to educational onboarding materials and reference SOP templates for local review and adaptation.
Universities & training programs
Support coursework, continuing-education modules, and research orientation with society educational resources and verified literature references.
What's included
Multiple seats
Several named or pooled member seats under one institutional account, so staff and faculty share a single subscription rather than registering individually.
Onboarding
Guided onboarding for your institution: account setup, an orientation walkthrough of the educational library, and a point of contact for member-access questions.
Institutional SOP-template packet (reference only)
A packet of standard-operating-procedure templates provided strictly as an educational reference. Templates are starting points for your own internal documentation — they are not operational instructions and must be reviewed, adapted, and approved locally before any use.
API access support
Support for accessing ASH educational and citation data programmatically, including documentation and help integrating reference content into your institution's internal knowledge systems.
Staff educational resources
Society educational materials, historical and regulatory background, and the medical glossary, available to all covered staff for self-directed learning.
Citation-verification access
Access to ASH's citation-verification resources so staff can confirm the provenance of references cited in society educational materials.
Support boundaries
Reference support, NOT treatment authorization
Institutional Membership delivers educational reference support only. It does not authorize treatment, validate clinical decisions, or constitute medical advice, and it is not a clinical decision-support service.
- The SOP-template packet and all other materials are reference templates only and must be reviewed, adapted, and formally approved by your own institution before any internal use.
- Institutional materials require local approval and oversight by your qualified staff, governance, and compliance processes — ASH provides reference content, not operational authorization.
- API access support, onboarding, and seats grant access to educational and citation data; they confer no clinical authority and make no claim that leech therapy cures or treats any condition.
- Clinical decisions remain solely the responsibility of licensed practitioners acting within their own institution's policies and applicable regulations.
